Sigh I really thought I'd like it, but it was just kinda meh? The stop-motion was really well done though
I have so many thoughts, but I don't think I can put them into words. Not without writing like an essay anyways
Freaky. Not scary, but freaky.
Ough so so good..
One of my favourite movies hehe!! Watched it after the musical and I think I like this movie a bit more :3 Also christian slayter and winona ryder.....
This is the first book in forever that made my forget that I was reading. Read about a 10th of it in one sitting and the rest (6 hours) in another. My biggest critique is that it was a bit too blatant with it's commentary at times? But otherwise I enjoyed it a lot!! I do have more thoughts, but this is already too long for the space it has
I really wish I liked it more than I did- The ending was so rushed and wasn't really satisfactory. The whole book was kinda lacking I guess
It made me feel like actually nauseous in some parts
This is the kind of graphic novel that really really makes me want to write (and illustrate!) my own. It's very good
I like this adaptation better than the original novel
(Actually a collection of four stories)
The langoliers: 4 stars
Secret window, secret garden: 4.5 stars
The library policeman: 3 stars
The sun dog: 3.5 stars
The same rating definitely does NOT apply to the movie. On it's own it was like. good, I guess, but compared to the book it really sucked- They nerfed the characters down to like nothing and changed the plot like so much ugh
I think clearsight's future-seeing is this best portrayal of it I've ever read. (This is the only wings of fire book I'll add here)
This was the first book I remember reading with queer characters. At the time I read it, being queer myself, very isolated from my peers, and already questioning my faith (or the faith my mom was trying to push onto me anyways), the story really resonated with me. It was the first book that did like that actually.
