Notice x

This is only a collection of standalone books and movies I've read or watched that have stuck with me enough to add.

I've also only filled in old books that I either rated on my library's website or my reading app, or remember enough of to rate acurately. I don't always add my thoughts, but I may occasionally :3

Cannonball - Kelsey Wroten

03/06/25

Carmilla - Sheridan Le Fanu

02/11/25

I really wish I liked it more than I did- The ending was so rushed and wasn't really satisfactory. The whole book was kinda lacking I guess

Catapult - Fridlund, Emily

01/??/25

The Shadows - Vincent Zabus

05/19/24

Coming Back - Jessi Zabarsky

02/??/24

Lolita - Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov

03/??/23

It made me feel like actually nauseous in some parts

Are You Listening? - Walden, Tillie

04/10/23

This is the kind of graphic novel that really really makes me want to write (and illustrate!) my own. It's very good

Mamo - Sas Milledge

09/27/22

Remina - Junji Ito

09/20/22

No Longer Human - Junji Ito

09/15/22

I like this adaptation better than the original novel

Mooncakes - Suzanne Walker

08/25/22

None Shall Sleep - Ellie Marney

spring/??/22

Indian Horse - Richard Wagamese

spring/??/22

Four Past Midnight - Stephen King

summer/??/21

(Actually a collection of four stories)
The langoliers: 4 stars
Secret window, secret garden: 4.5 stars
The library policeman: 3 stars
The sun dog: 3.5 stars

Speak - Laurie Halse Anderson

11/??/19

Home - Betsy Hearne

08/02/19

The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation - M.T. Anderson

fall/??/19

This Lie Will Kill You - Chelsea Pitcher

10/??/19

Nimona - ND Stevenson

06/??/19

The same rating definitely does NOT apply to the movie. On it's own it was like. good, I guess, but compared to the book it really sucked- They nerfed the characters down to like nothing and changed the plot like so much ugh

Darkstalker - Tui T. Sutherland

03/??/19

I think clearsight's future-seeing is this best portrayal of it I've ever read. (This is the only wings of fire book I'll add here)

This One Summer - Mariko Tamaki

spring/??/19

Anya's Ghost - Vera Brosgol

spring/??/18

The Boundless - Kenneth Oppel

fall/??/17

As the Crow Flies - Melanie Gillman

summer/??/17

This was the first book I remember reading with queer characters. At the time I read it, being queer myself, very isolated from my peers, and already questioning my faith (or the faith my mom was trying to push onto me anyways), the story really resonated with me. It was the first book that did like that actually.

Bullwhip Griffin - Sid Fleischman
